The National Commission for Bioethics and Technoethics was represented at the 18th World Conference on Bioethics, Medical Ethics and Health Law, held in Porto from 28 to 30 September 2026, by Scientific Associate Dr. Theodoros Trokanas, who presented a paper entitled : "Bioethical Dimensions of Newborn Screening by Human Genome Sequencing: A New Recommendation of the Greek National Commission for Bioethics and Technoethics".

The conference was organized by the International Chair in Bioethics with the scientific support of the World Medical Association.
